Hooded and masked group assault 14-year-old Harrogate boy

Harrogate Police are investigating an incident where a 14-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of people wearing masks.

  • It happened a  8.15pm on Monday 31st October 2016
  • A 14-year-old boy was walking with his bike
  • On Nydd Vale Terrace at the junction with Mayfield Terrace, Harrogate,

He was approached by a group of people . The group gathered around him before kicking and pulling at his bike and pulling it from his grip. The victim was then pushed and pulled about by the group before he managed to run away leaving his bike with the group.

Police are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

They are appealing for information about any persons seen in the area at the time matching the descriptions of the persons involved before during or after the incident.

The suspects are described as being a group of approximately 6-7 people, all dressed in black clothing with hoods up, wearing plain white face masks with smiling faces on them.
