The news follows a summer of successful GCSE and A-Level results and the ongoing £800,000 investment project to improve facilities for students and staff.

Laura Macaulay joins the school as Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. Mrs Macaulay moves to Rossett from St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, where she was Pastoral Deputy Headteacher.

Chris Stone, who starts his fourth year at Rossett after ten years of experience in Hertfordshire, becomes Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for the Curriculum (Teaching, Learning and Assessment).

Two current Assistant Headteachers, Mark Richardson and Andy Norrington, complete the core SLT team, within the wider extended leadership team.

Headteacher, Helen Woodcock said:

I am delighted to welcome Mrs Macaulay to Rossett. She will be a tremendous asset to our school, especially with such exciting times ahead.

I am looking forward to working with her and with Mr Stone in his new role. I am confident that, with the support of the wider school team, they will help spur the school on to even greater success.
