Joseph Ferraro Hair set to open their second salon in Harrogate

27 September 2016

Joseph Ferraro Hair is about to open their second salon in Harrogate, with a return to a town centre location.

Joseph learnt his skills in Sydney Australia and then came to Harrogate in  2004.

Halo hair on Cheltenham Mount was born in 2006 and quickly gained a reputation for being at the edge of the current trends.

By 2011 the business had outgrown the salon and it moved to the a much larger premises on Leeds road. It was move to a large, airy salon with over four times the space.

Joseph said:

The move to Leeds road was necessary as we had outgrown the space we had previously. We spent a lot of time on the look and feel of the salon and putting together a really relaxed atmosphere and amazing team of people.

That approach has really paid-off and once again we are outgrowing the salon.

Rather than move to an even larger salon, we decided to open an additional salon, back in the town centre on Cheltenham Crescent.

Leeds road is great in the amount of space it offers an the easy parking, but we felt a town centre location would just add much more to what we have to offer.

Joseph took the decision in 2016 to re-brand from Halo Hair to Joseph Ferraro Hair, giving a brand name that distinguished them in a wider area, as others in relatively nearby towns also used the name Halo.

The business has grown with the drive from Joseph. Joseph is a Sebastian Professional core team educator and has for many years worked at London Fashion Week and at all the big hairdressing events up and down the country.

Joseph has been lucky enough to travel abroad to do shows, seminars and learning current trends.  This gives him an edge and allows him to bring  bang-on-trend styles to Harrogate, something that has been much in demand.

Nicola Rayner  is currently a senior stylist at the Leeds road salon and has been involved with the new development and will be going into partnership for this Cheltenham Crescent salon.

Nicola is originally from Lincolnshire and started in a local salon at the age of only 14. She went on to qualify and then aged 21 moved to Leeds to work for Toni and guy. Following work  in Australia and a summer season in Ibiza, she started to work Joseph nearly 4 years ago.

I have worked with Joseph since 2012 and really enjoyed building up my customers

The move to a new salon and being asked to manage that is a big, but exciting step to take.

The new salon will have much of the same feel of the current salon.

We have been recruiting carefully, to get the right people that will fit in and work to the level that we need.

The salon will open 4 October 2016.
