New business win for Integral IT of Ripon with Mouseman

12 September 2016

Integral IT, the Ripon based IT specialist has won a new contract with the ‘Mouseman’, the world renowned home of master carpenter Robert Thompson, whose famous signature mice decorate much fine Oak furniture around the UK.

The company which is a fifth generation family business, continues to operate from its premises in York and has had a complete overhaul of its IT infrastructure – modernising and enhancing business practices for the world renowned artisan firm.

Jonathan Edwards, MD Integral IT commented:

This business was founded on craftsmanship and continues to thrive based on its rich heritage. Following continued growth and expansion there has been a need to enhance the IT infrastructure providing a consistent, reliable system which in turn makes business processes much more efficient and streamlined.

Previously the business, which includes the manufacture of hand made furniture, a museum and gift shop, has relied on outdated, antiquated IT systems which had increasingly hindered the running of administrative processes. Integral IT has implemented a new server along with cloud services which has given the small team a better handle on scheduling and supply in addition to a modernised till and accounting system.

Simon Thompson-Cartwright, the great great grandson of Robert Thompson.

Simon Thompson-Cartwright commented:

It was very important to us that we found the right partner to help develop our business requirements. As an artisan business, IT technology has not traditionally been pivotal to us, but these changes have greatly enhanced our ability to manage administration and pipelines in particular, which in turn have built much greater efficiencies into the company.

The new business comes on the back of several new wins for the firm which is celebrating its tenth year including contracts with Cloud Traders, Apley Grange and PMA Consulting in the last quarter.
