Witness appeal following fatal collision near Otley

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision near Otley.

At about 10am on Saturday 30 July 2016, a red Aprillia motorcycle was being ridden along Askwith Road towards Otley. It is believed that the motorcycle left the road near to the junction to Low Snowden. The rider, a 28-year-old local man, died at the scene.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw the motorcycle either before or at the time of the collision.

DC Kirsten Aldridge, of the Major Collision Investigation Team, said:

I would like to appeal to anyone who has any information about this tragic collision to come forward and assist the police with piecing together what happened on the morning of Saturday 30 July.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, select option 2 and ask for DC Kirsten Aldridge or TS Sean Grey from the Major Collision Investigation Team.
