Musical achievement in year 13 at Harrogate Grammar School

The current year 13 at Harrogate Grammar School is truly a vintage year for its musicians. With a record number of students securing places in the most esteemed and competitive music conservatoires in the world.

These include 2 students, Seb Etherington and George Farrar, going to the Royal Northern College of Music; 3 students, Ben Neesom, Louis Sadler and Zander Paterson, going to Leeds college of Music; 2 students, Deo Addison and Tara Sorkin, going to BIMM and Lucy Ireland, has been accepted on to the prestigious Musical Theatre course at Guilford School of Acting.

In addition, Ethan Flynn has been awarded a place at the Guildhall School of Music to study on the highly competitive Electronic Music course and singer Esme Lees has decided to accept a place at Trinity Laban in London as well as being offered a place at the Amsterdam Conservatoire.

Drummer, George Farrar has decided to take up his place at the Royal Northern College of Music despite having been offered a place at the world renowned Berklee College of Music in America, which he is looking forward to going to for his post graduate studies.

George said:

This is a dream come true and I am grateful to the teachers and support that I have received in the Sixth Form.
