Ten appliances attend fire in derelict building on Cornwall road in Harrogate

Fire crews from Harrogate attended fire in a derelict building at 23:44 on 12 June 2106.

On arrival they requested assistance from two further fire appliances, one from Knaresborough and Boroughbridge, together with the Aerial Ladder Platform from Harrogate.

Further assistance was required from another two appliances from Ripon and Summerbridge and then a total of ten appliances and two aerial ladder platforms were needed in total.

Further appliances that attended were from Northallerton, Huntington, Tadcaster, Acomb and two appliances from West Yorkshire.

At 07:00 on 13 June 2016, the incident was scaled down to two appliances from Harrogate and the aerial ladder platform.

Fire crews are still damping down at the scene.
