Prince of Wales donates prize for Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Ball

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre in February this year where they enjoyed meeting staff and patients.

Following his meeting, His Royal Highness agreed for a prize to be given to the charity for their Spring Ball.  The Prize was donated by The Prince of Wales and the Trustees of The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation.  The Prince of Wales is Patron of Macmillan Cancer Support and has been since 1997.

The prize is a Prince of Wales Checked Hamper contains single malt Scottish whisky, 8 oz Flask / Nip cups, Prince of Wales check scarf, Prince of Wales Check wallet, green & gold pheasant correspondence cards and a boxed paper knife.

The Spring Ball takes place this evening, Saturday 14 May 2016 at the Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate. The money raised is divided between Macmillan Cancer Support and the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre’s complementary therapy service.

Sarah Grant, Macmillan Patient Information and Health & Wellbeing Manager at The Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre said:

We were absolutely delighted to receive the hamper from the Prince of Wales and we are very grateful for his support.

Tonight will see one lucky winner go home with the lovely hamper!
