Harrogate charity benefits from business success

26 April 2016

A Harrogate charity has received a boost from a new business in town.

When Sheree Foy set up Source Harrogate, a business which finds dream homes in the district for buyers, she pledged a donation from every successful property search to ARCH Mediation, a charity which provides mediation, coaching, counselling and training for families and communities in Harrogate and beyond.

Sheree said:

I like the fact that ARCH helps people to achieve harmony, whether through resolving a neighbourhood dispute or to finding a way to improve their lives by dealing with negative issues. Harrogate is such a fantastic place that it is easy to imagine that everything in the garden is lovely. An organisation such as ARCH helps us move a step closer to that.

Sheree founded Source Harrogate after struggling to find a home for her own family when they relocated to the town. She works both independently and with estate agents and other professionals to identify perfect homes for clients’ needs.

Sheree added:

I am delighted to have sourced the perfect property for my clients before it came to market, handled all negotiations and secured exchange of contracts and this has enabled me to keep my promise to ARCH to support their work. I hope it is just the beginning of a long relationship!

ARCH Mediation Manager Tony Pardoe said:

Sheree’s cheque is greatly appreciated.  It can help not only with the coaching we do at The Women’s Refuge in Harrogate but also transforming the lives of young people who come to the notice of the police and their families. I hope many others will be kind enough to follow Sheree’s generosity.
