Dazzling hospice charity ball planned

26 April 2016

A dazzling night with a tropical twist is planned in Harrogate on 14 May 2016, raising funds for local people living with terminal illness and bereavement.

Saint Michael’s Hospice Jewels of the Caribbean Ball will be held at Pavilions of Harrogate, at the Great Yorkshire Showground.

Harrogate has the choice of two charity balls on the evening with the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Spring Ball at the Old Swan in the town.

A steel band and tropical punch reception will set the scene for the vibrant event, before guests enjoy a sumptuous three-course Caribbean-themed meal.

The evening will also feature a luxury raffle, and an auction with exciting prizes and experiences, followed by dancing til dawn to popular party band The Nightjars

Tony Collins, chief executive of the Harrogate-based hospice care charity, said:

The Jewel of the Caribbean Ball promises a fantastic evening’s entertainment whilst raising funds to ensure our vital services are available to people in our local community.

Tickets for the event are £75 each, and can be bought individually or as part of a table of 10 for a great night out with friends, family or colleagues.
