Youth Choir to support valuable bereavement service

20 April 2016

Young singers from Harrogate are to give a concert in aid of Just ‘B’, a bereavement support service for people in the district.

The Rock Up and Sing! Youth Choir will be showcasing their impressive vocal talents during a performance for all the family next month.

The youngsters, who are all aged between 12 and 18, will be singing hit tunes from the likes of James Bay, Radiohead, Freddie Mercury and Elton John. There will also be solo performances from Esme Lees, Annie Wallen, Sam Daltry, Jade Yip and Megan Humphries.

Rhiannon Gayle, choir director of Rock Up and Sing!, said:

We’ve chosen to support Just ‘B’ because many people rely on it for support after loss, and that’s particularly important for younger people coping with grief.

Members of all our choirs have been supported by Just ‘B’ in the past, and we know how valuable and helpful the service is to people going through bereavement. The youth choir members are really keen to raise money to help others who rely on its services in future.

The concert takes place at the Wesley Chapel, Harrogate, on Saturday, May 7, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £10 for adults and £5 for children aged 16 and under, are available from www.rockupandsing.com/events
