24 February 2016

Young people will soon have the chance to try their hand at a range of new exercise activities at Knaresborough Community Centre thanks to a new weekly sessions called, #NoWorkWednesday’.

Organised by Sport Works Yorkshire, a health and education company, and North Yorkshire Sport, the initiative is part of a government backed scheme to get youngsters more active and lead healthy lifestyles.

The sessions will include traditional and non-traditional activities and will include everything from frisbee to freestyle fit camps, aimed at helping 11-19 year olds to have fun whilst getting fit.

Simon Leonard, Director of Sport Works Yorkshire said:

We’re really excited to be kicking off our exciting sporting calendar in Knaresborough with our ‘#NoWorkWednesday’ sessions.  They are ideal for anyone who wants to have a break from school or college work and get fit in a fun environment.

With experienced coaches and fantastic facilities lined up we’re all ready to go and look forward to getting the ball rolling.

Anyone wanting to try the sessions can do so for free for the first time and will then be charged £1 for each subsequent visit, unless they bring a new member.  The sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings between 5.15-6.30pm from 9 March 2016 at the Knaresborough Community Centre, Stockwell Ave, Knaresborough HG5 0LG.

Anyone interested in booking a place on the sessions should contact simon@sportworksltd.co.uk or text 07539 205 739.
