Their Royal Highnesses will meet residents and business owners who were affected by flooding just after Christmas in the East Yorkshire village of Stamford Bridge.

TRHs are keen to hear first-hand how the floods impacted upon local people and their businesses. The Prince and Duchess will also meet representatives from The Prince’s Business Emergency Resilience Group (BERG) which helps businesses and communities across the UK to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies such as flooding, cyber-attacks and civil unrest. BERG has recently been active in Yorkshire.

Harrogate International Festivals

They will also watch a short musical performance by soprano Lesley Garrett and clarinettist Emma Johnson, introduced by Julian Lloyd Webber, in The Royal Hall.

The Duchess of Cornwall is President of Maggie’s Centres (cancer care centres)

The centre’s philosophy is to offer patients the highest quality treatments, alongside integrated supportive care and complementary therapies, and to ensure it gives a truly holistic and therapeutic service.
