Harrogate’s Banyan reopens following £400K investment

29 January 2016

Arc Inspirations has completed a £400K renovation project of the Banyan Bar & Kitchen on John Street in Harrogate. (29 January 2016)

The investment heralds and exciting year for the group with the opening of Banyan Bar & Kitchen in Leeds City Centre in March 2016, extending the Banyan Bar & Kitchen portfolio to four sites with locations in Harrogate, Manchester, Leeds and York.

As a design feature, the use of exposed air-conditioning ducting and cable trays has, in recent years, been greatly overused. Banyan’s design moves away from shabby chick or that industrial look, to an altogether more sophisticated look. The design features a warm copper tone running throughout with extensive use of wood and leather.

Reflected by the success over many years of Banyan, Arc has always had a sharp eye for giving the customer what they want. Developing a venue that works from daytime with families, early doors drinks, through to a late night venue has been hugely clever and has not happened by accident. Recently though the venue has seen greater competition, possibly from the other Arc Inspirations venue in Harrogate, The Pit.

This investment is part of looking at what the customer now wants visually, but is also part of further changes. There will be a new general manager, new food and drinks menu plus live music on many nights.
