Police release e-fit image in Thirsk sexual assault investigation

Police have issued an e-fit image of a man they need to trace in connection with a sexual assault investigation in Thirsk.

The victim, a local girl aged in her early teens, reported that she was groped by an unknown man as she walked along Sutton Road at 6.10pm on Tuesday 20 October 2015.

Officers have been unable to locate the suspect despite extensive enquiries.

To assist the investigation, the victim has worked with the police to produce an e-fit of the suspect which has been circulated in the media and on social media.

The man is described as:

  • white
  • aged in his 40s
  • about 5ft 5in tall
  • chubby build
  • bald head with some hair at sides
  • wearing glasses.
  • Wearing a beige hooded jacket, green t-shirt and “scruffy” denim jeans.
