Pudsey Bear visits Goldsborough

Pudsey Bear visited Goldsborough this week- is this something you could run on your site? If so, please see a possible article below:

On Tuesday 10 November 2015, Goldsborough CE Primary School welcomed a very special visitor. In advance of his very busy day on Friday for Children in Need, Pudsey Bear dropped in to see pupils and staff and pose for photos. It was brilliant to see Pudsey ‘for real’ and some pupils took the opportunity to sneak a quick cuddle! Pudsey visited classrooms, went out to play at playtime and posed with each child for an individual photograph. He waved off a school trip and even had time to pose for a whole school photograph.

Pudsey’s visit enabled pupils to focus on the importance of helping others by giving and by sharing. Pupils wore spots and brought a donation to give to Children in Need, raising £120.

Matt Shillito, Headteacher said:

It was fantastic to welcome Pudsey Bear to Goldsborough. Each and every one of our pupils and most of our staff members were very excited to see him and we loved having our photograph taken with him. Aside from the fun and photos, Pudsey’s visit provided our pupils with a great opportunity to find out how giving a little can go so far to helping those in need.
