Train derailment in Knaresborough

The emergency services were called to a train derailment this morning (7 November 2015) at 8am

Fire Engines from Knaresborough, Harrogate and Ripon assisted with a train that had derailed on the line at Knaresborough, near Stockwell road.

The train had six carriages and a total of four passengers were assisted to safety by fire crews.

No injuries were sustained.

A replacement bus service is operational on the Leeds-Harrogate-York route, operational until the last service on 8 November 2015.
