Do you know someone who deserves a Volunteering Oscar?

Nominations are being sought for this year’s Volunteering Oscars.  Do you know someone who does a lot for the local community? It could be a friend, family member, a volunteer you work with or even a local business. Why not show your appreciation by nominating them for a Volunteering Oscar.

Each year the Volunteering Oscars celebrates the efforts of volunteers from across the Harrogate District. The 8th annual Volunteering Oscars ceremony will take place at the Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate on Friday 30th October 2015. There are 16 categories for nomination including Community Volunteer of the Year, Young Volunteer, Unsung Hero of Harrogate and Sports Volunteer of the Year.   • The Volunteering Oscars were set up by Councillor John Fox during his year at mayor or Harrogate. 2015 marks the 8th annual Oscars ceremony.
  • In 2014 over 100 volunteers from right across the Harrogate District were celebrated at the event.
