94-year-old seriously injured in Knaresborough collision

An elderly woman has been left seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle on Knaresborough High Street.

  • 3pm on Wednesday 16 September 2015
  • High Street at Knaresborough
  • Pedestrian crossing close to Tesco Express

The collision involved a 94 year old pedestrian from the local area and a burnt orange Vauxhall 4×4 vehicle which was turning out from the Frazer Theatre alleyway.

The 4×4 was driven by a 38 year old local male who was uninjured.

As a result of the collision the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.

Enquiries are ongoing and Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who attended to the injured person to contact them, if they have not already provided their details to Police.
