28 August 2015

Tomorrow will see the inaugural Biltonbury Musical Festival.

Bilton Working Men’s Club will open the gates at midday (29 August) with music starting from 1pm.

The main stage will see a series of bands through the afternoon, some you will not have seen perform in Harrogate.

There will also be entertainments for the young music festival goer, with a bouncy castle, face painting and fairground rides.

Dean Sawdon of Deanos fame will be providing the food on the day, with Burgers, Cumberland sausages, pulled pork, bacon butties and chips!

Alan Huddart, Club Treasurer, said:

We have been working hard on organising this event and are really excited about it now. It’s really coming together as the stage is already built.

Although we are a members club, this event is open to all, and it would be great to see some new faces.

There’s something for everyone, a strong music line-up, entertainments to keep the children busy, great food, all at sensible prices too!

Tickets are £5 on the door, children under 16 free.and £2 for members.

The music line-up:

Lucky Boy Browne and The Soul Catchers is a band project led by the talented singer songwriter Nadeem Leigh. The band plays original material and a certain number of covers in their own way. Nadeem is also known for taking part in The Voice 2013.

The 7-piece MG Band are regulars on the Harrogate and Leeds music scene, playing a mixture of original songs of ska and reggae.

Beth McCarthy took part in the The Voice 2014 when she was only 16. She says she takes influence from Ed Sheeran and is growing to be a great live entertainer, being very natural and conveying a good deal of energy.

MFOR now how to get a party going and work with a crowd. Normally in the confines of some of the Harorgate music venues, this band really comes to life on a larger stage.
