Police hunt Harrogate lead thieves

Police are appealing for information after a lead flashing was stolen from the roof of a building in Harrogate.

The theft occurred at sometime between 18 October and 20 October 2014, at a property at St John’s Well, on Wetherby Road, by the Stray.

It is believed that the cost of replacing the lead and repairing the damage caused during the incident will amount to between £8,000 and £10,000.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area around the time of the incident to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Graham Harding or Harrogate police.
