Harrogate Grammar School opens its doors to prospective students and their families on Thursday 16 October from 7.00pm – 9.00pm.

The school welcomes a large group of post-16 students from Harrogate Grammar School and other schools into this thriving and successful Sixth Form.

  • One of the largest Sixth Forms in the country
  • In the top 4% of highest achieving Sixth Forms nationally 2011-2012 according to Ofsted
  • Record results this year with 60% of grades being at A* to B

They have over 40 subjects to choose from, students are offered support and guidance to enable each individual to achieve their potential.

There are significant opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills and participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities in preparation for their future.

This year they have introduced a new Enrichment programme encompassing activities such as sport and music, Amnesty International, Open University modules, Student Investor Challenge, plus Acoustic Friday.

Harrogate Grammar School is very proud its academic provision and aims to make post-16 education both successful and enjoyable.

The Sixth Form has an excellent track record in providing all students with the highest quality of experience and in teaching both A Level and BTEC qualifications.

Specialist pathways are offered in Medical Science, Law, Education & Training, Business & Enterprise and Engineering & Design, giving students the opportunity to work with leading professionals and gain work experience.

The school offers world class facilities and its innovative use of iPads for learning provides a stimulating environment for students to learn.

Additional bus routes are now being offered taking students from Pateley Bridge, Ripon, Boroughbridge, Wetherby and Leeds.

Access to a school bursary, the Sixth Form is widely accessible to students from across the region.
