£5,000 of antiques stolen from York shop

York police are appealing for information after £5,000 worth of antiques were stolen from the antiques centre on Stonegate.

Thieves took the items after breaking into a glass display cabinet at some point between 18 September and 24 September 2014.

Officers have issued photos of the stolen goods which include:

  • William Hutton and Sons silver and enamel photo frame
  • Liberty and Co Tudric pewter inkwell
  • Omar Ramsden hand-crafted silver jam spoon
  • Omar Ramsden hand-hammered silver dish with a Tudor rose to the centre

They are appealing to anyone, including antique dealers and collectors who may have been offered the items for sale, or know of their current whereabouts, to contact them.
