Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered a serious sexual assault at a nightclub in Northallerton.
The victim, aged 18, was assaulted outside Club Amadeus on Elder Road at sometime between midnight and 2.30am in the early hours of Sunday 10 August 2014.
Officers investigating the incident believe there are a number of people who were in and around the club at the time who may have information that can help with their enquiries.
In particular, a number of people who assisted the woman in the nightclub’s foyer following the incident are urged to come forward.
Police would also like to speak to anyone who saw a young woman in distress outside Club Amadeus in the early hours of Sunday morning to get in touch.
The victim is currently being supported by specially trained officers.
Two men, both aged 20, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody for questioning.
