Public urged to help locate missing Selby man

Selby police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a missing man from the town.

William Notley, 57, has not been in contact since he spoke with his wife by telephone at 1pm on Tuesday 24 June 2014, when it is believed he was at his home address on Buller Street’.

He is described as white, around 5ft 6in tall, with a slim build and brown hair. It is possible that he is wearing a brown striped polo shirt, blue jeans and brown trainers.

Police are growing concerned for Mr Notley’s welfare as there are concerns for his health and he has missed an appointment he was due to attend.

Mr Notley’s whereabouts are unknown and it is possible he is anywhere in the country.

Inspector Andy Haigh, who is coordinating the search said: William, if you see or hear this appeal, I urge you to get in touch with your wife straight away as she is desperate to know that you are safe and well. If you would prefer to speak to a police officer please get in touch with us and we will reassure your wife about your welfare.

I am also keen to speak to anyone who has seen Mr Notley, or knows where is now, and ask them to get in touch with the police as soon as possible.

Anyone who can help to locate William Notley should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass the details to the Force Control Room. Please quote reference number 12140103250.
