New commercial litigation expertise for McCormicks

A new Solicitor has joined the Commercial Litigation team of top-ranked Yorkshire law firm McCormicks.

Kayleigh Fantoni joins Harrogate-based McCormicks from a major international firm and brings expertise across the field of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, debt recovery and professional negligence. She has significant experience in dealing with banking and finance disputes having previously acted for a number of financial institutions, as well as large corporations, in commercial litigation work.

Senior Partner Peter McCormick said: Kayleigh’s experience of working with a range of businesses, from national PLCs to small family-run operations, means she can provide tailored advice. She will be an asset to what is a very busy department.

Kayleigh graduated with a BA (Hons) in English Language and Linguistics from the University of York before obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Law and then completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Leeds.
Kayleigh lives in Ripon and has hands-on business experience from her previous role as Assistant Restaurant Manager at Prima Pizzeria in Ripon, which is owned and run by her family.

McCormicks Commercial Litigation department wins recommendations in the latest issues of both of the leading guides to the legal profession, the UK Legal 500 and Chambers UK, with head of department Philip Edmondson also singled out for recognition.
