Knaresborough nursery children are all aboard a new walking bus scheme launched with support from The Co-operative Funeralcare in Harrogate.
Children and staff from Thistle Hill Children’s Day Nursery received the hi-visibility vests as part of The Co-operative Funeralcare’s commitment to supporting and serving the local community.
The vests provide a safe and healthy way to travel while cutting down on car journeys and carbon emissions.
Cath Heaton, Manager of Thistle Hill Children’s Day Nursery, said: We are all thrilled with the new hi-viz safety vests and with the support of The Co-operative Funeralcare. The walking bus is ideal for the regular walks that we take our children on, for instance the trip to the local library for our story-telling sessions – the children love wearing the vests, they turn every walk in to an adventure.
