Carefound Home Care wins British care award

10 June 2014

Carla Hainsworth of Carefound Home Care has won an award at the National Great British Care Awards.

The ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Friday (6 June 2014) with the awards being presented by comedian Patrick Monahan.

The prestigious Great British Care Awards are supported by the Department of Health and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector in the UK. They are aimed at promoting best practice and paying tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

After winning the Care Newcomer Award at the Yorkshire and Humberside Care Awards last year, Carla attended the national finals where she was chosen from a shortlist of care professionals from all over the UK.

In the case of Ms Hainsworth, the judges said: “In a very competitive category where each candidate was exceptional in their own right and a potential overall national winner, Carla’s transparency to care was sparkling and quite simply she was magical.”

Oliver Stirk, Director of Carefound Home Care, said: We are extremely proud that Carla has won this award and achieved national recognition for the amazing work she does in supporting her elderly clients at home. From the outset she has demonstrated a natural ability in delivering specialist care, particularly when it comes to helping clients and families experiencing dementia.

This award also recognises the lengths that our home care team go to in providing both hourly and 24-hour live in care to elderly people in Harrogate, Ripon, Wetherby, North Leeds and wider areas of Yorkshire. Their absolute focus on delivering tailored, high quality care to each of our clients means that we not only enable them to retain independence in the community for longer but also avoid the need for costly hospital or residential care admissions.
