He joins the Harrogate and London based agency as Senior Account Director and, among other responsibilities, will lead the agency’s construction and property team which already works for a number of major clients in the sector, including Kier and Severfield-Rowen plc.

Previous to his senior role at Interserve, Nigel worked within financial services, including for Northern Rock plc, RBS Insurance and UK Asset Resolution Ltd as well as for Green Flag, Royal Mail and for two NHS trusts.

Acceleris Managing Director Peter Davenport said: We are delighted to have recruited someone of Nigel’s calibre and believe that his impressive range of experience and expertise will play an important role in helping the agency achieve its ambitious growth and development objectives.

Nigel Charlesworth added: Acceleris has established a national reputation for the quality of its work for clients and I am enthusiastic to be joining such a talented and committed team. I look forward to playing my part in helping the agency achieve even greater things in the future.

Acceleris recently opened offices on London’s Regent Street and has been shortlisted in two categories, including ‘Consultancy of the Year’ of the prestigious DARE Awards organised by the industry body, the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA). In December last year, the agency collected a prestigious European Communications Excellence award at a ceremony in Munich, winning the ‘Issues and Reputation Management.’

The agency has started 2014 with a string of new business wins, including an appointment by Severfield-Rowen plc, the UK’s leading structural steel business whose projects include the London Olympic Stadium, The Shard, Wimbledon Centre Court and the Leeds Arena.
