Professional podiatrist goes mobile in a bid to keep Harrogate moving

30 April 2014

After 30 years with the NHS, an established ‘foot specialist’ is stepping out on her own to start a mobile chiropody practice.

Sarah Webster, 50, decided to go it alone so she could help more people enjoy an active and independent lifestyle by treating them for foot-related ailments in the comfort of their own homes.

Sarah said: I have always loved my job and considered myself to have been very fortunate being part of such a rewarding profession. Helping people is what I enjoy the most and I love meeting new faces. I expect to see clients of all age ranges along with people on the NHS waiting lists or those that cannot wait the length of time between NHS appointments. My aim has always been to keep clients as mobile as possible, reducing pain and discomfort whilst preventing deterioration.

Sarah qualified in 1985 from Durham School of Podiatry after studying podiatric medicine for three years, and since then has enjoyed a successful and rewarding career working for the NHS in Harrogate.

Almost 30 years in the business has not dulled Sarah’s irrepressible enthusiasm for the profession.

Concentrating her new mobile practice in Harrogate and surrounding areas she will be able to offer a wide range of treatments from routine nail care to more specialised foot care.
