Big name sponsors for charity bike ride

The Acorn Charity has attracted five well-known regional and national businesses as sponsors for its specially-commissioned cycle tops for the Acorn 100k Sponsored Bike Ride on 10th May.

The sponsors have donated funds to enable 95% of the proceeds of sale of the cycle tops to be donated to Acorn’s chosen charities: research into scleroderma disease at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and to help people with dementia and their carers in the Ripon, Harrogate and Wetherby area through Dementia Forward.

The businesses who have generously sponsored the cycle tops are Lights4Fun, Knight Frank, tilesandmosaics.co.uk, Springfield Healthcare Group and Ultimate English. The cycle top has been specially manufactured by the UK’s leading cycle clothing brand Altura.

Tim Naughton of Lights4Fun which has sponsored the Acorn 100k Bike Ride throughout its seven year history is delighted by the new opportunity to help the charity raise funds.

Tim said: We have had a very close working relationship with the charity which runs exceptionally professional events. We are delighted to be associated with Acorn in this way, especially as cycling is set to become the most high profile sport in Yorkshire in the coming weeks. We wish all the Acorn cyclists a very successful and enjoyable day.
