Witnesses needed following collision near Wetherby

At around 3.15pm on Saturday 29 March 2014, a blue Mini One was travelling from North Deighton towards Spofforth along Spofforth Lane, when it was confronted by a black Mini heading in the opposite direction.

The driver of the blue Mini, a 23-year-old woman, had to swerve to avoid the oncoming vehicle and left the road, coming to a stop in a field. She was uninjured but her car sustained some damage.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Traffic Constable Steve Wright.
