Appeal to trace taxi driver who witnessed Harrogate dangerous driving incident

Harrogate police are appealing for a vital witness to come forward after an incident of dangerous driving in the town.

It occurred at 5.15am on Sunday 2 March 2014, on Knaresborough Road, near the junction for Harrogate District Hospital, when a dark coloured taxi, heading toward Knaresborough, was overtaken by a silver BMW and a dark coloured car.

The key witness officers need to trace is the driver of the taxi.

Traffic Constable Steve Wood, of the Force’s Roads Policing Group, said: If you are the driver of the taxi which was on Knaresborough Road, at the time of the incident, I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away as you may have vital information which could help my investigation.

I am also keen to speak to anyone else who was in the area at the time and ask them to get in touch.
