Police hunt wanted Richmond man

25 February 2014

Christopher Hugill, 29, from Skeeby, Richmond, is wanted for recall to prison as he has breached the terms of his licence after failing to live at a specified address, has not attended appointments and is believed he has committed further offences.

Hugill was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment in 2012 for common assault. He was released in June 2013.

He is described as white, 5ft 10in tall with a medium build and short brown hair.

Although his whereabouts are unknown it is believed that Hugill is still in the Richmond area.

Inspector Mark Gee, of Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: Christopher, if you see or hear this appeal, I strongly urge you to hand yourself in straight away. This will not go away and it is only a matter of time before we arrest you. By not facing the consequences of your actions you are only making matters worse for yourself.

I am also urging anyone who sees Hugill to contact the police straight away.

I am also warning anyone who may be shielding Hugill that they are not helping him. They are only making the inevitable outcome worse and may even be committing offences themselves. If this is the case they face the possibility of prosecution.

Anyone who can help officers locate Christopher Hugill should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 5551111, quoting reference number 12140027850.
