Local apprentice of the year accolade

Henry Weemes, of Dunnington Electricals. has just won the Megger Regional Apprentice accolade and will soon be competing in the nationals.

Henry is aged 22 and has been with Dunnington Electricals for 3 years. The company was established in 2009 by Glen Milburn and Nick Wraith and are  based in Ripley near Harrogate  – they employ 12 electricians, 3 apprentices and have 4 office staff.

Harrogate College put him forward for Megger Regional Apprentice of the year and on 4 February 2014 at Burnley College he  came away a clear winner.

He is now through to the National Megger apprentice of the year. In April 2014, along with 6 other finalists,  there will be a 2 day competition in Birmingha.

Henry said: I am very happy with my achievement and look forward to competing at Nationals in Brimingham. I would like to thank Dunnington Electricals for their support and training throughout my apprenticeship.

I would also like to thank those Electricians at Dunnington Electricals who I have worked with and have taught me what I know to date.
