31 December 2013

Police are appealing for the driver of a mid-blue Vauxhall Corsa to contact them after the car failed to stop following a collision in Harrogate.

At around 6pm on Monday 30 December 2013, a 35-year-old local man sustained serious leg injuries after he was hit by the car on Station Parade near the junction with York Place.

The Corsa did not stop after hitting the man and continued on its journey, having lost its passenger side wing mirror as a result of the collision.

Officers are carrying out investigations to trace the driver of the car and are appealing for witnesses to the incident and to anyone who can help identify the car and driver to contact them.

In Particular they want to hear from anyone who has seen or knows the whereabouts of a mid-blue Corsa which is missing a nearside wing mirror and to anyone in the motor trade who has been asked to supply a new wing mirror for a Corsa.
