Man robbed of medication in Harrogate

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in Harrogate.

At around 1.30pm on Monday 18 November 2013 the victim, a 31-year-old local man, was walking to his girlfriend’s house when he was approached by a man at the rear of Miller’s Café, just off the High Street in Starbeck.

The man produced a Swiss Army Knife and grabbed a bag of prescription drugs from the victim’s pocket before running off towards Starbeck Park.

The man is described as white, aged 30 -35-years-old, around 5ft 6 – 5ft 8in tall with a slim build, a slim face and a sweaty complexion.

He was wearing a black balaclava, a black jacket, jeans and green Nike trainers.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or knows anyone matching the description of the offender to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Detective Constable Gary Blackburn or Harrogate CID.
