Serious road collision on A658 near Harrogate (Harrogate bypass)

North Yorkshire Police were called at around 7.50am on Saturday 9 November 2013, after reports of a road traffic collision near Harrogate.

The collision occurred on the A658 at Follifoot and involved a Sainsbury’s delivery lorry and a Ford Mondeo.

PoliceThe driver of the lorry suffered serious leg injuries in the incident and was taken to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Mondeo was also taken to Harrogate District Hospital with a back injury.

Neither driver has life threatening injuries.

The A658 was closed between the Kestrel Roundabout and Haggs Road while the incident was dealt with.

Any witnesses to the collision are urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
