Police issue images of Harrogate fraud suspect

Harrogate police have released CCTV images of a suspect following a fraud in the town.

It occurred at the Homebase store on Plumpton Park Industrial Estate, on Sunday 16 June 2013.

A man took light fittings from the shelves in the store before taking them to the Returns Counter where he claimed a £160 refund.

suspect hbThe suspect is described as being a white man, with a large build, having short grey hair and wearing glasses.

PC Alan Berwick, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

If you recognise the man caught on camera, I ask that you contact the police as soon as possible.

I am also keen to speak to the man himself. It is possible that there has been some confusion and he is not responsible for committing this fraud. If this is the case, I urge him to come forward so that he can be eliminated from my enquiries.
