UKIP MEP Godfrey “bongo bongo land” Bloom to address Harrogate meeting

9 September 2013

UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom will be addressing a public meeting in Harrogate this coming Monday (16 September 2013).

Bloom is most known for courting controversial attention after the politician was captured on film saying British aid should not be sent to bongo bongo land.

Mr Bloom, the MEP for Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, will be speaking at the Harrogate & Knaresborough branch’s monthly meeting, being held in the Old Swan Hotel.

UKIP’s Harrogate and Knaresborough Chairman John Upex said:

In the run up to next year’s European and District Council elections, we will be opening up our meetings to the general public so they can find out more about the Party, our policies and our candidates.

I’m delighted to say our first guest speaker is Godfrey Bloom MEP. Godfrey is a brilliant speaker, vehemently against the EUs increasing strangle hold on our country and he’s certainly not afraid to stick his head above the parapet.

In addition to addressing the gathering about our relationship with EU, he will be answering questions from the floor.”

Without a shadow of a doubt the next two years are the most important electorally for the United Kingdom and for UKIP, these will be the last ‘democratic’ chances we have to get our country back before we lose it altogether.

Locally, UKIP is going from strength to strength. We saw our first county councillor elected in May, membership is increasing weekly and we will be fielding a full list of candidates at next year’s District Council Elections.

Monday’s meeting, which is open to the public, starts at 7.30pm. Further information is available by contacting UKIP Harrogate & Knaresborough on 01423 567 557.
