Visitors to Harrogate this summer might be forgiven for thinking they’ve taken a wrong turn to the British seaside!
Victoria Shopping Centre Street Beach will be outside the Centre from 7th to 11th August 2013, and shoppers are invited to join the summer fun.
The beach will be on the Centre Piazza, complete with deck chairs, buckets, spades and the obligatory beach life ring. Arts and craft entertainment will keep children entertained from 10:30am – 3:30pm Wednesday to Saturday and 11am – 4pm on Sunday along with free face painting and Punch and Judy shows.
A traditional beach cut-out photo stand will also give passers by the opportunity to strike a pose and win prizes by uploading their pictures to Facebook.
Victoria Shopping Centre Manager, David Horth said, “I hope children and their families will enjoy the summer entertainment at Victoria Shopping Centre. With deck chairs to relax in for parents and plenty of free children’s entertainment, there’s something for everyone”
