Driver asked to come forward following minor collision

22 July 2013

Harrogate police are appealing for a driver to come forward following a minor collision in the town.

It occurred overnight between Friday 19 and Saturday 20 July 2013, on Cold Bath Road, when the bumper of a beige BMW X5 sustained damage.

Whoever was driving the vehicle which caused the damage left a note with their name, Vicky, and a contact number. However, it appears that she has left the wrong number.

Traffic Constable Steve Wright, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said:

I am asking Vicky, or anyone who knows her, to get in touch so that I can take her details for my report.

I also need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, to help identify the other vehicle involved, in case the driver deliberately left incorrect information and ask that they get in touch.

Anyone who can help with this enquiry is asked to contact Harrogate police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Steve Wright. Alternatively information can be emailed to steve.wright1309@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
