Assault in King’s Club beer garden

22 July 2013

Police in Harrogate are investigating an assault that took place in the beer garden of the King’s Club, on King’s Road in the town.

It occurred shortly after 1am on Sunday 2 June 2013, when the victim, a 24-year-old man from Durham, had been involved in a conversation with the suspect. As the suspect turned to leave, he hit the man in the face with a bottle, causing a 2in cut which required medical attention from paramedics.

The suspect is described as white, with a stocky build and short dark hair.

Detective Sergeant Alex Jackson, of Harrogate CID, said:

If you are the person caught on CCTV and you did not commit the assault, I urge you to come forward so that I can eliminate you from my enquiries.

I also need to speak to anyone who was in the club at the time, or can help to identify the man, and ask that they get in touch straight away.
