Expansion for Yorkshire outdoor adventure company

16 July 2013

Harrogate-based outdoor adventure company Live For Today has opened a second site  at Hazlewood Castle, in North Yorkshire, introducing a whole new range of activities as part of this expansion, including quad biking, archery, bush craft & wild foraging, and laser tag.

This new site compliments its already popular Harrogate site, plus a range of on-location activities across Yorkshire, and the management team have even more plans for growth over the coming months.

The new Hazlewood site opened on 1 June 2013, and the team were quickly inundated with bookings.

Co-owner Dan Miller is delighted at the fast uptake:

We were taking regular bookings for activities at this site even before we properly opened, including hen and stag groups and kids parties. The summer weekends in particular have been filling up faster than we could have ever imagined.

In addition to the opening of the new site, the team also launched a brand new website at the end of June, complete with a fast, on-line booking feature and e-shop. The website also features a brand new addition – the ‘Feel Alive’ blog.

Co-founder and owner Marc says:

Feel alive’ is our mantra, and this blog is somewhere others can be inspired by articles about the coolest adventures and expeditions from around the world written by the Live For Today Team, as well as contributions from adrenalin-junkie guest bloggers.

Dan and Marc are also in the process of launching some new kids non-residential ‘Adventure Camps’ which will be up to three days long and will involve visits to the Harrogate and Hazlewood sites, with a final day at Brimham Rocks. Activities at the Camps will include aqua zorbing, body zorbing, archery, bush craft, rock climbing and bouldering.

Marc added:

Plans are already under way to further expand the staff team and to grow the Adventure Club – our social membership group for like minded people who like to live life to the full. Also in the pipeline is a plan to launch a range corporate programmes and events, and who knows, maybe site number three.
