Engage Mutual becomes a champion

9 July 2013

Engage Mutual in Harrogate has once again been recognised for outstanding commitment to its staff with Investors in People (IIP) Champion status.

In receiving the accolade it becomes the only mutual across Yorkshire and Humber to be an IiP champion and joins a prestigious group of just 11 organisations working to promote IiP and share best practice across the region.

Engage Mutual has joined the Investors in People Champions programme due to its dedication to employees, as well as being viewed as an outstanding promoter of IiP values. As a Champion it will act as a role model for other organisations by sharing best practice, holding open days, and mentoring them through the IiP process.

Steve Barry, HR and Learning Director at Engage Mutual, said:

It is an honour to be recognised as an Investors in People Champion. As an organisation we strive to offer the best possible customer service but we can only achieve this if we invest in our staff and to be recognised for this is fantastic.

engage-office-1-1We’ve found the Investors in People experience to be highly beneficial and I look forward to helping other organisations through the process.

To become an IiP Champion an organisation must hold Investors n People Gold, something which the mutual achieved in 2012.  Alongside its role as mentor, Engage Mutual will contribute towards the development and evaluation of the Investors in People framework.
