Oracle Finance steps up a gear for Princes’ trust three peaks challenge

4 July 2013

A Knaresborough company which finances prestige and luxury cars is steering its attention in the direction of raising funds for a national charity.

Eighteen employees from Oracle Finance, based at Whitfield Business Park, are undertaking the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday, July 13, in aid of the Prince’s Trust.

To complete the challenge, the team, who will also be accompanied by two fitness instructors, will have to walk to the summit of Yorkshire’s highest hills – Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough – within 12 hours.

Oracle Finance Managing Director Peter Brook said:

Oracle Finance has been a supporter of the Prince’s Trust for a number of years now because – it is a superb organisation with a great ethos.

It benefits those with a real work ethic – but who may not have had the best start in life – to make a positive economic contribution to the region.

This challenge is being held to raise money for the charity and also as a way of boosting our team spirit. It will be tough, but we are confident we can achieve it in the 12 hour deadline.

We also have the added advantage of having two fitness instructors with us. They work with us on a weekly basis and they will help motivate us if we start to flag.

Obviously we hope the weather is on our side but being from Yorkshire we are not holding our breath!

The Prince’s Trust is a UK based charity established in 1976, helping the lives of young people around the country.

The charity is responsible for giving practical and financial support and developing skills that are key in a working environment such as confidence or business development.
