Pedestrian killed in Knaresborough collision

PoliceA 91-year-old woman has died in a collision in Knaresborough.

The woman, a pedestrian, was sadly pronounced dead  following the collision with a green Toyota Aygo.

The accident happened at 12.35pm on Saturday 15 June 2013, between Knaresborough and Harrogate on Forest Moor Road. The exact location was 400 metres prior to the junction with the B6163.

The driver of the only vehicle involved, the Toyota Aygo, was an  88-year-old local woman and was uninjured.

Diversions were put in place while police examined the scene as part of the collision investigation and the road reopened at 4.10pm
