Cyclist injured in Harrogate collision

PoliceHarrogate police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a 4×4.

The cyclist, a 59-year-old man, suffered a broken leg and a back injury when his bike was hit by a dark-coloured Kia on the B6451 between Norwood and the A59 at around 2.20pm on Friday 1 February 2013.

The cyclist was taken to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment. He has since been released and is recovering from his injuries at home.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help the investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Alan Mason or Harrogate police.
