Harrogate Railway

Harrogate Railway 2 – 2 Radcliffe Borough

9 February 2013

Harrogate RailwayWithin 3 minutes of the start Railway were gifted a goal as a Danny Hull cross was diverted into his own net by Martin Parker.

However Radcliffe should have been level 3 minutes later when prolific goalscorer Kevin Sanasay was through on goal but he sliced his effort horribly wide. Rail doubled their lead on 24 minutes when another Danny Hull cross found Alex Hallam free at the far post to tap in from close range.

Radcliffe were looking dangerous on the break but couldn’t find a way through and the score remained 2-0 until half-time. The second-half started fairly even with Rail slightly edging it with a couple of one on one’s with the keeper but neither chance went in.

The 3 points looked as though they were going Railway’s way but on 76 minutes Radcliffe narrowed the gap when Darren Sheridan fired home from a free-kick from outside the area. This gave Radcliffe a great lift and with only 6 minutes remaining full-back Matty Chadwick glanced in a powerful header from a left wing cross to level the scores and earn the visitors a point
