Urgent appeal to locate missing Helmsley woman

Ryedale police are urgently appealing to the public for their help to locate a missing woman from Helmsley.

Barbara Colling, 68, has not been seen since 9.30am today (Monday 28 January 2013) when she was last seen walking from Helmsley towards Stokesley.




She is described as white, 5ft 6in tall with a medium build and medium length blonde hair. When she was last seen Barbara was wearing a navy blue jacket, blue trousers, a black woollen hat with ear flaps and black boots and is thought to have been carrying a black rucksack.

Police are growing concerned increasingly concerned for her welfare, as Barbara has serious health issues and this behaviour is out of character. It is not thought that she has any money or debit cards with her.

Police Sergeant Craig Malia, of Helmsley Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: 

I am appealing to anyone who has seen Barbara since she went missing to contact North Yorkshire Police immediately, dial 101, select option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room.

Anyone who can help locate Barbara Colling is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police immediately by dialling 101, selecting option 1 and passing the information to the Force Control Room.
